Meet Mudder Leigh

Los Angeles based producer. Alt-rock mixed with orchestral and synth layers.

FMA Team

My journey as an artist started out with borrowing my friend's beat up acoustic guitar with no strings. The local guitar shop was having their 10th anniversary and had a “free stringing” day (bring any guitar, and they'll string it for free, but it may have been just 6 string acoustic or electric guitars). I only intended to learn some basic songs for fun with that guitar. After that, I upgraded guitars to a better acoustic, an electric, then a better electric.

Nirvana was the band that made me take music seriously, like a million others did at the time. And, after a couple of years with bands, I ended up becoming a producer making music influenced by rock, electronic, hip hop, downtempo, and cinematic orchestral music. And btw, Ketsa was the reason I ed FMA. - New Hustle is an alt-rock track with a medium-fast tempo. It harkens back to 90s and 2000s alt-rock music, and has a very positive vibe musically and lyrically. However, while positive, it still has a bit of that angsty attitude. Think Blondie meets Nirvana. The bridge (aka middle eight) of the track provides a contrast to the rest of the song. Here, the guitars disappear and are replaced by an orchestral arrangement which is very ambient. I would describe this portion of the song as “positive-poignant.”

This album contains the full song, instrumentals (full song, 60 sec clip, 30 sec clip), and additional clips and mixes taken from the track. If you want an alternate mix of the song, feel free to me. All tracks are soundtrack ready! - Stay On Target is influenced by the film Kill Bill. It has a very 70s rock/funk vibe with a sinister-sounding female spoken word diatribe. The production channels the aura of Led Zeppelin I and the angst of Nevermind.
