Turtle Recall is bending genres like crazy. The DC area party brigade draws from a stupidly wide variety of influences, yet somehow managed to crank out a few catchy pop rock tunes in the midst of a classically trained violist, a sick affinity for musical theatre, and a dozen drummers in the rear-view mirror. The group's debut LP, Thanks Anyway, was released in July 2012 and the album has since enjoyed overwhelming praise and adulation from many people with unrespected opinions.
