derrière Album

in french, “derrière” means “back”. and derrière is the back side – the complement – to my album devant, a cassette released by la cohu in october 2013. both albums come from the same sessions, at home, january 2013. derrière is a 39-minute improvisation performed using only mixing desks with nothing plugged in them – just ins in the outs, recorded direct to disc. yes, . CONTROLLED . it’s one heck of a ride, but obviously i couldn’t include it on devant (which is also a extravaganza) due to time limit considerations. i’m very glad it found a home here. enjoy!
