Description

You ever wonder what The What Now? sounded like before they became The What Now? The answer is right here. We've decided to re-release all of our music under our previous name "The Lamaas" as one compilation album to pay homage to that chapter in our career.

The Lamaas started as a high school punk band consisting of Lew, Simon, and Tenzin, starting in 2016 (though they had been playing together for far longer). The music was highly influenced by what was coming up on the west coast. Bands like FIDLAR and Wavves had a massive impact on the musical direciton, blending elements of punk, surf, and a dash of comedy.

The band called it quits pretty quickly into 2016, playing several shows over the summer. They would reunite in late 2021, playing shows seemingly every single day in 2022. Tenzin left the band at the beginning of 2023, but was replaced by Jack Laing. Thus, The Lamaas were officially retired, and The What Now? are here to stay.

This is for all of our fans in the past and the present. You gave us the energy we needed to make this happen. So enjoy!
